A Community United by Faith, Tradition, and Connection
The idea for MJSOC.org took root when priests and elders in our community began expressing concern over declining church attendance and the fading passion for our rich Jacobite traditions. The younger generation, scattered across the globe, found it increasingly difficult to stay connected to their home churches and cultural heritage.
One such concerned voice was Shine K. Mathew, a dedicated member of our faith community. Inspired by these conversations and determined to make a difference, he started discussing the issue with friends—many of whom were Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from Kerala, childhood classmates, and like-minded individuals who shared the same concern. What started as simple discussions soon became an actionable plan, and thus, MJSOC.org was born.
In an ever-changing world, staying connected to our faith, traditions, and community is more important than ever. MJSOC.org was born out of this very need—a vision to bring Malankara Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Christians together on a single digital platform where faith meets modern technology.
Leadership & Governance Structure
To ensure transparency and accountability, we have established a governing structure for MJSOC.org.
- Mr. Shine K. Mathew has been appointed as President and Director of Operations by the founding members. His dedication, hard work, and personal investment have brought this vision to life.
- As we grow, we will conduct transparent online elections to elect board members and key governing personnel.
- The leadership team will serve on a three-year term basis, ensuring continuity while allowing room for new ideas and leadership.
- We will continue adding founding members from those who contribute substantially to the project—whether through resources, expertise, or commitment to its mission.
This Is Just the Beginning
MJSOC.org is a seed we are planting today. It will only grow if we nurture it together. There is much work ahead—improving features, expanding outreach, and ensuring this platform serves its purpose.
This is not about starting a technology race or replacing traditional publications. It is about staying relevant in a changing world while preserving our identity, faith, and values.
